Indian Farmers Protest

on september 2020 parliament of India passed the act, that was three farm acts and Indian farmers protested against this act. This act, also called the 'Farm Bills', was described as "Anti Farmer Laws", by many farmer unions, and other opposition parties.

Here is picture of this three laws, in 'Bhasker' news paper had hadline that why farmers affraid from this law, and what are their queries about the law.

Here is all important dates of this protest. During this protest farmers many times called as terarists by others, this makes them more angry.

Here i make a drawing on this protest-

The farmers wanted to ensure that corporations cannot control the prices, that's why they demanded the creation of a minimum support price (MSP) bill. The union government wanted to maintain this law because they thought that the law would make it effortless for farmers to sell their production directly to big buyers, and they thought that the protests were based on misinformation.

India is largely self -sufficient in foodgrain production, but there are Many people who don't have food to eat two times a day. There were many serious issues.

When this law was introduced , mostly farmers of Punjab, began protests. After two months of protests, the union from Punjab and Haryana, began a movement named Dilli Chalo. There were thousands of farmers marching at Delhi, and to stop them the Indian government ordered the police to use water cannons, batond, and tear gas.

This protest started on 9  August 2020, and ended on 11 December 2021. It takes 1 year, 4 months, 2 days.

On 19 November 202, the union Government  decided to repeal the bills, and both houses of parliament passed the farm lawas repeal bill, 2021 on 29 November.

Thank you.
