मनभावन Youth Festival 2023
This blog is a task given by Dilip Barad sir H.O.D. of English Department Bhavnagar University. In this blog I am going to share my experience and all the learning and observation from Youth Festival 2023.
Maharaja Krishnakumarsinghji Bhavnagar University recently hosted its 31st Youth Festival, "Manbhavan Yuvak Mahotsav," from November 3rd to 5th, 2023, organized by the Physical Education Department. The festival centered around the theme of "Nari Shakti Vandana," celebrating women's empowerment following the passage of the Nari Shakti Vandana bill in Parliament. Over 1,000 students participated, notably with around 700 being girls, exemplifying the spirit of Nari Shakti Vandana.

During the event, contestants reflect on different themes. One remarkable part was the showcasing of India's space journey from the early days of ISRO, where they used to transport rockets on bicycles, to the present, with floats and women highlighting the success of Mission Chandrayaan.
Youth Festival comprised 32 competitions across five sections: Literature, Music, Fine Arts, Dance, and Theatre, each with distinctive titles:
- "मनभावन शब्दम" - English Department
- "मनभवन स्वरम" - New Court Hall
- "मनभावन नृत्यम" - Amphitheatre
- "मनभावन नाट्यम" - Atal Auditorium
- "मनभावन रंगम" - External Department

My experience as participant
It's completely normal to feel disappointed when you put in a lot of effort into something and don't achieve the desired outcome. However, your perspective on the experience is admirable. Despite not securing a rank in the on-the-spot painting and poster-making competition, you've gained something much more valuable: learning and beautiful memories. Participating in events like these is not just about winning or getting a rank; it's about the journey, the growth, and the experiences gained along the way. Your dedication to practice and giving your best effort is commendable. Even though the result might not have been what you hoped for, the skills you've honed, the lessons you've learned, and the memories you've created are priceless. Sometimes, the true value of participating in such events lies in the personal development, the joy of creation, and the connections made with others who share your interests. Use this experience as motivation to continue improving your skills and pursuing your passion for painting and poster-making. Remember, setbacks can be catalysts for future success.
Hold onto those beautiful memories and the lessons learned—they will continue to inspire and guide you on your journey. Keep embracing new opportunities and challenges, and never forget the value of the journey itself, regardless of the end result.
